The primary study area will be represented by county commission chairs from Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties, and mayors of the cities of Huntsville, Madison, Decatur, and Athens. The group will meet at key times throughout the project to receive study results and provide general direction.

The broader region's elected officials will be convened - in a voluntary fashion - at key points over the duration of the process to inform them about the progress of the Tennessee Valley Regional Growth Coordination Plan and gain feedback.
